A beauty salon reception desk and a display rack for hair and skin care products in one project: a white reception counter with gold trim and an open rack on a gold frame with glass shelves. Both pieces stand in the entrance zone and set the tone for the whole salon.
The body of the reception desk is simple: a rectangular block with smooth white panels. Its character comes from an applied frame of gold-finish metal profile, with an outline along the edges and diagonal bars that cross and wrap around the corner from one face to the next. The pattern is visible from the door and does the job of a sign. The light worktop projects slightly, with a line of lighting beneath the overhang. A different approach is the reception desk with slats and rounded corners, where the accent is the shape rather than the decoration.
The rack is built from square gold-finish profile. Its five tiers are offset from one another, so the outline is asymmetrical and looks nothing like a storeroom shelf. The shelves are glass: they let light through, and each bottle is visible in full, label included. We also used gold-finish metal on a sales floor in the boutique with gold clothes rails. A sales counter in a different style is the panelled counter for a flower shop. How to keep shine under control in an interior is covered in our guide to glamour style.
The set suits a beauty salon, a barber shop or a cosmetology practice that needs a noticeable entrance zone and space to sell care products. We make custom salon furniture to the dimensions of the premises. See furniture for business.
