Flamma — electric fireplace store

For Flamma we built the display fixtures of an electric fireplace and decorative tile showroom in a shopping mall: an entrance pylon, a sample wall and freestanding fireplace stands. The showroom fit-out keeps to a dark palette, so the product glows in the frame and the furniture steps back.

A tile wall that lights the relief

Samples are not shown on boards but as large fields within one long wall. Black uprights split it into bays, and slanted rails split each bay into fields for different collections. Under every rail sits accent lighting: warm light grazes the tile from the side and brings out a relief that overhead light flattens. A different kind of display, a separate stand for each interior style, is shown in our display zone for a wallpaper department.

A separate stand for every fireplace

Each fireplace stands against its own panel in a dark frame. The field is filled with stone or tile, an LED line runs around the edge, and raised letters on top name the style. The customer sees the piece against a matching backdrop, not in a row on a shelf; we cover such zones in our piece on retail zone scenography. The stands are not joined, so the display can be rearranged when the range changes.

An entrance with no shopfront

The showroom opens straight onto the mall floor, with no doors or glazing. A full-height graphite pylon marks the spot: matt bands with a broken line of joints, bronze-tinted mirror inserts in the joints, and an illuminated logo above. The same broken line returns in the rails of the tile wall, so entrance and display read as one piece. Custom showroom displays of another kind appear in our display kitchen stand for a store.

The approach suits sellers of finishing materials, fireplaces or bathroom fittings — anyone who needs to show a product in a room setting, not on a warehouse rack. How we work with retail spaces is described on the custom shop fittings page.
